Nepal is hosting the first Buddhist International Travel Mart (BITM 2019) from Jan 10 till Jan 12, 2019, in the Sacred Garden of Lumbini in Nepal, the center of Buddhism. Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Buddha and a UNESCO Cultural Heritage Site, which has gained worldwide fame as the center of universal peace and brotherhood, carries immense significance as a tourism destination.
The event, chaired by the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation (MoCTCA) of Nepal, is being led by Nepal Association of Tour and Travel Agents (NATTA) and Nepal’s key private sector associations, with Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) as the organizing partner.
The main theme of BITM 2019 is Buddhism tourism, as the objective of BITM 2019 is to promote Lumbini as the prime Buddhist heritage site and to create a platform for interaction between organizations, tour operators and agencies that specialize in this sector.
Events at the program will incorporate an assortment of Conferences, B2B Sessions and Key Note Speeches by Travel/Spiritual Gurus. Official itinerary will be made available at the earliest.
