Intensive Leadership Training conducted

Kathmandu Environment Education Project (KEEP) recently held five-Day Intensive Leadership Development Training for tourism professionals on May 25-29, 2006 with support from Nepal Tourism Board (NTB). The course was designed to nurture leadership qualities amongst tourism professionals as an exercise for developing professionalism through practical exercises for confidence building, personality development and environmental education.

The course-included trainings on leadership development and leave no trace principle for environment conservation and crisis management. The training included theoretical and practical approaches towards educating such individuals to ensure sustainable tourism in Nepal . 17 tourism professionals attended the course.

arking the conclusion of the training, the Acting Director of NTB, Mr. Hikmat Singh Ayer handed out certificates to the participants and course instructors. On the same occasion, Mr. Ayer congratulated all participants of their achievement and hoped that the knowledge they had gained would be highly beneficial to them in their professional growth. In addition, Mr. Ayer also extended his appreciation to KEEP for organizing such practical course, which are immensely beneficial to such professionals.
