Government of Nepal established
the Nepal National Library (NNL)in 1957 at Singha Durbar,
having brought the personal collection of His Majesty the
King's spiritual Preceptor, the late Hem Raj Pandey. At the
outset, the NNL had an impressive collection of 43,000 books
and periodicals, including those brought in as a result of
the amalgamation of the Central Secretariat Library. It is
presently housed in Hariharbhawan, Lalitpur and is open to
all for reading and refernece.
At present, NNL has more than 82,000 books,
documents and periodicals in different languages including
Nepali, English, Sanskrit, and others.

9:00AM to 5:00PM (Sun-Fri)
(to 4:00PM in winter)
